As part of Jouf University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing operational efficiency, developing support services, and ensuring a safe, high-quality campus environment, University President Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya’ received a delegation from the General Administration of Central Services, in the presence of Vice President Prof. Dr. Saad bin Awadh Al-Anzi.

During the meeting, the University President reviewed the department’s report on its projects and achievements from January to October 2026, highlighting key performance indicators, development initiatives, and operational improvements aimed at strengthening service efficiency, enhancing campus safety, and improving the quality of services provided to students, faculty, and staff. These efforts reflect the University’s strategic priorities and its commitment to supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The report outlined seven development projects with a combined value exceeding SAR 4.37 million, including five completed projects and two currently underway. The initiatives covered improvements to campus safety systems, modernization of vehicle access permits, vehicle insurance and maintenance services, and the implementation of a managed services project for document and records preservation. Together, these projects contribute to greater operational efficiency, service sustainability, and more effective management of University resources.

In the area of campus security, safety, and emergency preparedness, the President was briefed on measures implemented to strengthen preventive safety standards across University buildings and facilities. These included the installation and provision of 4,101 safety-related items and equipment, ranging from emergency evacuation signs and fire protection supplies to directional signage and accessibility facilities for older adults and persons with disabilities. The report also highlighted the development of evacuation plans and emergency response procedures designed to safeguard lives and property while fostering a culture of safety and shared responsibility throughout the University community.

The report further showcased the achievements of the Transportation and Mobility Department in improving operational services and optimizing resource utilization. During the reporting period, the department carried out 357 transportation trips, completed 41 routine vehicle maintenance operations, and received 27 vehicles. Additional initiatives included fuel supply management, vehicle insurance, and the modernization of the campus vehicle access system, with 10,000 access permits introduced to improve traffic organization, strengthen campus security, and support more efficient transportation operations.

A key focus of the meeting was institutional transformation and the governance of documents and records. The President reviewed the achievements of the University’s Archives and Records Center, which ranked second among Saudi universities in automation and fifteenth among government entities nationwide, according to the indicators presented in the report.

The Center also processed 148 permanent records transactions, developed 178 specialized documents, and advanced regulatory frameworks, procedural manuals, and institutional policies. These achievements were complemented by efforts to strengthen integration with the National Center for Archives and Records and implement a managed services project aimed at modernizing document management, accelerating digital transformation, and preserving the University’s institutional memory in accordance with approved standards and best practices.

The presentation also highlighted initiatives focused on human capital development, awareness, and community engagement. The General Administration of Central Services recorded more than 3,600 volunteer hours, contributed by 120 volunteers through four volunteering opportunities. These efforts were accompanied by awareness campaigns, workshops, and specialized initiatives covering occupational safety, records management, and institutional responsibility.

The report additionally highlighted the outstanding performance of Archives and Records Center personnel, who secured first and second places in a specialized national-level training program, reflecting the University’s emphasis on professional development, workforce excellence, and continuous institutional improvement.

The President’s review of the report underscores Jouf University’s commitment to monitoring institutional performance, evaluating the impact of operational projects, and strengthening coordination among its administrative and service sectors.

Through these efforts, the University continues to advance service sustainability, optimize the use of resources, and enhance the quality of its institutional operations, while creating a safer, more efficient, and better-prepared campus environment that supports its educational, research, and community engagement missions.
