Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya met with the University’s Partnerships, Agreements and International Cooperation Team to discuss a number of initiatives and opportunities aimed at developing high-value local and international partnerships that support the University’s strategic objectives and strengthen its academic, research, and institutional presence.

The meeting addressed several areas of partnership and cooperation with national and international entities, as well as mechanisms for developing agreements that deliver tangible added value to the University. Discussions also focused on expanding cooperation in education, research, innovation, training, knowledge and expertise exchange, and capacity building, while exploring strategic opportunities that enhance the University’s competitiveness and broaden its network of institutional relationships.

During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of adopting a purposeful approach to building partnerships based on clearly defined objectives, careful selection, measurable impact, and the alignment of every agreement and partnership with the University’s priorities and actual needs. He stressed that the value of partnerships should not be measured by their number, but rather by the measurable outcomes they deliver and their direct contribution to enhancing academic, research, and developmental performance.

Prof. Al-Shaya noted that the next phase requires moving beyond conventional forms of cooperation toward effective strategic partnerships that facilitate the transfer of knowledge and expertise, support the development of high-impact programs and initiatives, enhance opportunities for research, innovation, and academic exchange, and open broader avenues for collaboration with universities, institutions, and specialized centers locally and internationally.

He also directed the team to develop a priority partnership map, identify areas of cooperation most closely aligned with the University’s strategic objectives, and develop partnership models based on clear performance indicators to ensure continuous follow-up and measurement of the value generated by each agreement.

The meeting reflects Jouf University’s commitment to strengthening its partnerships and international cooperation ecosystem as a key enabler of its strategic objectives, supporting academic, research, and institutional development, and expanding the University’s impact locally and internationally through high-value partnerships that are purposefully designed, efficiently managed, and measured by the impact they create.
