The achievement reflects sustained growth in its academic, research, and institutional performance, while further strengthening its position among Saudi universities in international rankings.

This progress builds on the University’s ongoing development efforts within its strategic plans, which aim to enhance the quality of the educational process, improve learning outcomes, strengthen the efficiency of its research and innovation ecosystem, and further develop its academic and research environment. These efforts also include expanding international partnerships and collaboration, contributing to the development of a university ecosystem capable of competing globally and generating sustainable scientific and developmental impact.

Jouf University’s presence within this global ranking band reflects further progress in its pursuit of enhanced international competitiveness. President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, highlighted the unlimited support extended by the wise leadership—may Allah support it—to the education sector in general and higher education in particular. He noted that the empowerment and attention provided to Saudi universities have contributed significantly to the advancement of their educational and research systems and strengthened their ability to compete and establish a strong presence in international indicators and rankings. This comes within the Kingdom’s comprehensive development transformation, which prioritizes human capital development and strengthens its role in building an economy driven by knowledge and innovation.

The University President also expressed his appreciation for the support, attention, and continued follow-up extended to Jouf University by His Royal Highness the Governor of Al-Jouf Region and His Royal Highness the Deputy Governor—may Allah protect them. He acknowledged their support for the University’s development journey, programs, initiatives, and its scientific, developmental, and community role in the region. He also commended the efforts of His Excellency the Minister of Education in advancing higher education and empowering Saudi universities to enhance their academic, research, and institutional performance and improve indicators of quality, excellence, and competitiveness at both regional and international levels.

Prof. Al-Shaya emphasized that Jouf University’s continued progress, along with the significant advances it has achieved in several local and international indicators and rankings over recent years, is not the result of short-term efforts. Rather, it is the outcome of accumulated institutional work and comprehensive development plans and programs addressing all components of the University ecosystem. These efforts have focused on enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, developing academic programs, strengthening the culture of quality and academic accreditation, increasing the efficiency of scientific research and knowledge production, supporting innovation, developing human capabilities, and expanding international and community partnerships.

He noted that the University has worked to establish a stimulating academic and research environment, strengthen the capabilities and resources available to faculty members, researchers, and students, encourage high-quality and impactful research, and support participation in research and innovation projects and programs. These efforts enhance the University’s contribution to knowledge production and its transformation into developmental value that serves society and contributes to achieving national priorities.
