Under the patronage and in the presence of the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, and in the presence of the university’s guest, Mr. Badr Al-Badr, Treasurer of the University Education Fund, along with the accompanying delegation, the university vice presidents, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, faculty and administrative staff, and male and female students, Jouf University celebrated the honoring of the winners of the Scientific Forum and Student Activities.
The ceremony reflected the university’s promising student talents and its qualitative achievements in innovation, scientific research, artistic creativity, and student engagement, in alignment with the objectives of the university’s strategic plan and the aspirations of Saudi Vision 2030 in human development, youth empowerment, capacity building, and the promotion of creativity and innovation.
The University President and guests began the ceremony by inaugurating the Student Activities and Scientific Forum Exhibition, which featured a variety of distinctive sections that reflected the diversity and excellence of students’ talents. Male and female students showcased their innovations, inventions, and scientific research, alongside drawing and fine arts sections through which they presented remarkable artworks portraying the landmarks and features of the Al-Jouf region. These artworks also expressed deep national belonging and creatively depicted the unity between the leadership and the people, as well as the unity, prosperity, and stability enjoyed by the Kingdom.
The exhibition also highlighted the national and creative spirit of Jouf University students through qualitative projects and ideas aimed at harnessing knowledge, skills, and innovation to serve the Al-Jouf region and contribute to its development. This reflects the university’s role in transforming the educational environment into a space that produces impact, embraces initiatives, and empowers talents.
The honoring ceremony began with the Royal Anthem, followed by a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. This was followed by a visual presentation titled “Jouf University Talents Towards Excellence,” which showcased models of students’ creativity and achievements across various fields. A graduating student then delivered a speech titled “Student Activities: The Beginning of Achievement,” expressing the impact of university activities in shaping personality, building confidence, developing skills, and turning ambition into achievement.
The ceremony included a musical operetta performed by university students, embodying the spirit of belonging and pride and highlighting the feelings of appreciation and loyalty held by the university’s sons and daughters toward their nation, university, and region. This was followed by a presentation on the Scientific Forum, which reviewed its fields, judging mechanisms, results, and the knowledge-based and creative competition witnessed among male and female students across various scientific tracks.
The ceremony also witnessed the launch of the “Jouf University Talent Empowerment Platform” development project, a qualitative digital project aimed at empowering talents, investing in student potential, and promoting creativity within the university environment. The platform brings together members of the university community and creates an interactive environment that supports innovation and achievement.
The platform is based on two main pillars: the first is a guide that facilitates students’ access to extracurricular activities and available opportunities within the university; the second is an institutional archive that documents students’ achievements in volunteering, student clubs, innovation, and scientific research. The platform also provides an advanced search system that enables university members and entities to discover, support, and showcase talents, in addition to an early notification system for competitions and opportunities, enhancing students’ readiness and active participation in university, national, and international events.
This project represents a digital model that reflects Jouf University’s direction toward developing its institutional enablers, employing technology to support student talents, enhancing the quality of university life, and building a sustainable system for discovering and empowering talented students. It is also aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities, stimulating innovation, and preparing a generation capable of competing and contributing to national development.
In his speech during the ceremony, the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, affirmed that the university’s celebration was a true message that portrayed the unity between the leadership and the people, and embodied a national scene in which the Al-Jouf region appeared in a bright and distinguished image. He noted that what he witnessed in the exhibition and ceremony reflected the awareness, creativity, and ambition of the university’s students.
He stated that Jouf University, with all its academic, research, and community capabilities, dedicates its contributions and creativity to serving the Al-Jouf region and the beloved Kingdom. He emphasized that the university views its male and female students as its true wealth and as the nation’s hope for the present and the future.
Addressing the students, he said: “My sons and daughters, you are the hope of this nation. You are its present and its future. Be worthy of this responsibility, and make knowledge, work, and creativity a path to creating impact and serving the nation.” He also affirmed that the celebration was a message of pride, appreciation, and gratitude to all those who contributed to raising the university’s profile, including male and female students, faculty members, administrative staff, judges, organizing committees, and everyone who worked sincerely to ensure the success of this distinguished event.
The University President commended the efforts of the Scientific Forum judges and their professional work in evaluating student submissions according to precise scientific standards. He also appreciated the role of the organizing committees, whose efforts contributed to presenting the ceremony and exhibition in a manner befitting the university’s stature and ambitions. He praised the honorable competition, creative spirit, and awareness demonstrated by the students, as well as their understanding of the importance of active participation in building a well-rounded university student personality.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of the male and female winners of the Scientific Forum and Student Activities, in addition to honoring the judges and organizing committee in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of the occasion.
