Jouf University President Receives College of Business Dean and Leadership to Review Annual Report

His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, received today in his office the Dean of the College of Business, along with the vice deans and department heads, to review the college’s annual report for the academic year 1446H.

The report highlighted the college’s major efforts and achievements across multiple fields during the year, in line with its vision, mission, and strategic objectives, while supporting the goals of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious Vision 2030. It showcased tangible progress in several areas, most notably in scientific research, with numerous high-quality studies published in prestigious international journals. The college also advanced in quality and academic accreditations, securing accreditation for three academic programs. In addition, a variety of initiatives were implemented to strengthen community engagement and strategic partnerships through training programs and collaborations. The college also organized a wide range of educational and cultural activities that positively contributed to developing the skills and knowledge of students, graduates, and faculty members. The College of Business aspires to become a distinguished academic institution recognized for its achievements in education, research, program accreditation, and community service. These accomplishments reflect its commitment to fostering a modern, high-quality learning environment.

The college currently offers bachelor’s, higher diploma, and postgraduate programs across three main departments: Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance & Investment, serving a total of 1,910 male and female students, under the supervision of 76 faculty members, including national and internationally trained scholars. Distinguished programs include the Executive MBA and specialized diplomas in Human Resources, Accounting, and Internal Auditing.

Notably, the college obtained full program accreditation for both the Bachelor of Business Administration and the Executive MBA programs, demonstrating the quality of education and compliance with international accreditation standards.

Research activity was particularly strong during 1446H, with 127 published papers—24 indexed in Web of Science, 38 in Scopus, and 15 ranking among the top 10% globally in citations. Faculty members also received several prestigious research awards.

In the field of community service and strategic partnerships, the college established high-impact collaborations with key national entities, most prominently the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants. It also delivered more than 148 volunteer opportunities and 40 community activities, enhancing student participation and reinforcing social responsibility.

Over the same year, the college organized more than 30 educational and cultural events, including celebrations of the 94th Saudi National Day and Founding Day, as well as international observances such as Entrepreneurship Day, Savings Day, Tolerance Day, Consumer Rights Day, Date Day, and Internal Auditing Day.

Furthermore, 495 students participated in cooperative training programs and 11 students in international exchange programs. The college also signed local and international agreements that strengthened academic and research cooperation, effectively linking education with labor market needs.

Looking ahead, the College of Business aims to further consolidate its position as a leading institution in education and research, expand its program accreditations, increase high-impact research output, and broaden its community impact, while preparing highly qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market challenges and contributing to targeted economic and administrative development.
