Jouf University hosted on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the 28th meeting of the Committee of Their Excellencies, Presidents, and Directors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Prof. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, with the participation of several university presidents and members of the joint technical committees.

The meeting discussed a number of key topics in the fields of higher education and scientific research, most notably the follow-up on the implementation of the resolutions of the GCC Ministers of Education, strengthening integration among GCC higher education institutions, and exploring ways to enhance university education, digital transformation, and cybersecurity in line with current developmental needs.

His Excellency the University President welcomed the participating delegations, emphasizing that Jouf University’s hosting of this meeting reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting academic cooperation among GCC universities, sharing expertise, and unifying efforts to advance higher education, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

At the conclusion of the meeting, participants praised the distinguished organizational efforts made by Jouf University and stressed the importance of continued coordination and joint work to further strengthen integration and leadership in Gulf higher education.
