The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University achieved first place in the Health Sciences track at the “Waed 2” Exhibition for the second consecutive year

The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University has reaffirmed its distinguished presence and leadership in the fields of scientific research and student innovation, following the achievement of its female students who secured first place in the Health Sciences track at the “Waed 2” Exhibition for university students’ projects and innovations. This marks the second consecutive year of this accomplishment, reflecting the quality of its academic outcomes and the excellence of its students at the university level.

The exhibition was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency, the University President, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support innovation, foster student potential, and promote a culture of research and development across various scientific disciplines.

This achievement was realized through an outstanding graduation project presented by students from the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences:

  • Maha bint Salah Al-Saadoun
  • Sarah bint Abdullah Al-Ruwaili
  • Shaden bint Zaidan Al-Ruwaili

Their research project, entitled:
“Enumeration of Viable Microorganisms in Commercial Probiotic Supplements”

presented an advanced scientific and research model that reflects the high level of academic and research training received by the college’s students, as well as their ability to apply scientific knowledge in delivering impactful studies and solutions.

For his part, the Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Abdullah bin Falleh Alsrhani, expressed his pride in this renewed achievement, emphasizing that the college’s attainment of first place for the second consecutive year reflects the significant support provided by the university’s administration toward academic and research excellence. It also highlights the continuous efforts exerted by academic departments and faculty members in developing students’ research and innovative capabilities and enabling them to compete in various scientific forums.

His Excellency also commended the scientific and supervisory role of Dr. Yasmin bint Abdulaziz Al-Thari, the supervisor of the winning project, appreciating her academic support and research guidance that contributed to achieving this distinction.

He further affirmed that the college will continue to advance its educational and research systems and to strengthen an academic environment that fosters creativity and innovation, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, and in a manner that enhances Al-Jouf University’s position as a leading academic institution in supporting scientific excellence, research, and student innovation.
