The College, in collaboration with the Intellectual Awareness Department at Al-Jouf University, organized an awareness seminar titled “Disability Awareness and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Efforts in Support and Empowerment.”

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Ammar Al-Ebad, Head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation, and presented by Dr. Abdulmajeed Al-Fayadh, Assistant Professor in the department, and Dr. Samaher Al-Owaidah, Lecturer in the department.

The seminar addressed the definition of disability, its types, and ways to adapt and live with it. It also highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts to support and empower people with disabilities in line with the goals of Vision 2030.

In addition, it covered official statistics on disabilities and the services provided in the health and education sectors, along with financial support programs and specialized initiatives in employment and rehabilitation, such as “Mowaamah,” “Sa’ee,” and “Tamkeen.”

The seminar concluded by showcasing successful examples of individuals who overcame their disabilities, emphasizing the vital role of society in providing an inclusive, safe, and supportive environment for the integration and empowerment of this group.
