In reaffirmation of its institutional commitment to public health education and enhancing quality of life, and in observance of World Alzheimer's Day, the College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS) at Jouf University—represented by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences and the "Pioneers of Laboratories" Student Club, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs—held an expansive field awareness initiative.
The event featured dedicated interactive educational booths led by faculty members and specialized students. The campaign focused on demystifying Alzheimer’s disease, its clinical trajectory, and the primary hereditary and lifestyle risk factors, underscoring the vital significance of early medical screening in mitigating cognitive decline.
Furthermore, the initiative underscored the crucial contributions of clinical laboratory diagnostics and modern biological markers in detecting and monitoring neurodegenerative disorders. Visitors and caregivers were provided with practical guidance on the emotional and physical management of Alzheimer’s patients, emphasizing patient safety and quality home care.
