Units of the University Guidance Department
The University Guidance Department Includes Sub-Units with Defined Responsibilities as Follows:
1. Academic Advising Unit
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare orientation programs for new students in collaboration with college advising units.
Develop specialized programs to reduce academic difficulties in cooperation with colleges.
Contribute to preparing official guides for the University Guidance Department.
Design advisory templates specific to academic and student guidance.
2. Psychological and Social Counseling Unit
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop specialized programs to address psychological and social challenges faced by students, in collaboration with colleges.
Contribute to preparing official guides for the University Guidance Department.
Design advisory templates specific to psychological and social counseling.
Supervise the implementation of psychological and social counseling processes within colleges.
3. Technical Affairs Unit
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare the annual plan for the University Guidance Department.
Supervise and monitor the implementation of administrative and financial regulations within the university.
Follow up on partnerships between the department and collaborating entities.
Archive and maintain employee data both manually and electronically.
4. Gifted Students Support Unit
Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish general policies and strategies for identifying, attracting, and supporting gifted students.
Supervise the implementation of developmental programs to enhance the skills of gifted students.
Propose mechanisms for attracting talented students from high schools.
Create a database for gifted students to monitor their progress and provide continuous support.
