In light of the remarkable transformation our Kingdom is witnessing under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them – and in alignment with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030, which has placed strategic importance on data as one of the main pillars of digital transformation and sustainable development, the Data Management Office at Jouf University was established pursuant to the Royal Decree No. (59766) dated 20/11/1439 AH This decree reinforces the status of data as a national asset that enables integration across sectors and supports evidence-based decision-making through precise analysis.
In accordance with these royal directives, Jouf University Resolution No. (199/44/6) dated 24/10/1444 AH approved the establishment of the office to contribute to achieving the university’s strategic objectives through effective data governance, ensuring the quality, protection, and enabling its efficient and effective utilization. The office is also committed to applying the highest standards of security and privacy, and to promoting transparency in data accessibility, in accordance with national policies and regulatory frameworks.
At the Data Management Office, we recognize that data is not merely numbers, but rather the fuel for development and the cornerstone for a promising future. Therefore, we work hand in hand with all university sectors to achieve the desired integration and to build an intelligent ecosystem that supports scientific research and enhances the quality of academic and administrative services. We also strive to provide training and awareness programs to foster a data-driven culture among university staff and empower them to utilize data effectively and responsibly. We aspire to be an active part of Jouf University’s journey of excellence under the umbrella of Saudi Vision 2030, and with God’s guidance, we continue to move forward with confidence and ambition.
