Jouf University Participates in the Second Qurayyat Forum for Entrepreneurship and Franchising
Jouf University participated in the Second Qurayyat Forum for Entrepreneurship and Franchising, held under the gracious patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Al Jouf Region—may God preserve him—through a distinguished pavilion in the accompanying exhibition. The participation reflected the University’s growing role in supporting the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem and strengthening the knowledge-based economy, in alignment with its strategic objectives and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Through its pavilion, the University showcased its most prominent achievements in entrepreneurship, led by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Administration. This included introducing business incubators and accelerators, and enabling researchers and entrepreneurs to benefit from advanced research enablers, foremost among them the Central Laboratory and specialized research centers, along with the high-quality services they provide to support innovation and transform ideas into projects with economic and developmental impact.
The pavilion also featured a selection of university innovations in vital fields, including health, engineering, and energy, reflecting the integration of education, research, and innovation at the University and its role in delivering applied solutions that contribute to sustainable development. In addition, academic programs and pathways related to entrepreneurship at the College of Business and the Applied College were highlighted, along with the educational and training services that contribute to preparing competitive national talents capable of entrepreneurship.
At the academic participation level, several faculty members took part in panel discussions and workshops accompanying the forum. Dr. Ibtisam bint Khalifah Al-Anzi participated in a panel discussion titled “Women’s Entrepreneurship: Empowerment and Sustainable Growth,” while Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Fayyad participated in a session titled “Franchising as an Option for Expansion and Sustainability.” On the second day of the forum, Dr. Shatha bint Salem Al-Ruwaili delivered a workshop titled “From Idea to Entrepreneurial Project,” addressing pathways for transforming ideas into scalable entrepreneurial ventures.
At the conclusion of the forum, Jouf University was honored by His Excellency the Governor of Qurayyat, Dr. Talal bin Mishal Al-Tammiyat, in recognition of its effective participation and contribution to the success of the forum, along with honoring the participating faculty members from the University.
His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, affirmed that the University’s participation in the Second Qurayyat Forum for Entrepreneurship and Franchising extends its strategic commitment to supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, and to linking educational and research outcomes with the requirements of development and the labor market. He noted that the University continues to enhance a stimulating academic environment that fosters creativity, empowers entrepreneurs, and builds effective partnerships that contribute to achieving sustainable development in the Al Jouf Region and strengthen the University’s position as a knowledge and development driver.
