Results of the Quran and Sunnah Competition for male and female students of -Jouf University.


Jouf University Celebrates the Winners of the Qur’an and Sunnah Competition


Jouf University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs and in cooperation with the College of Sharia and Law, organized the annual Qur’an and Sunnah competition with distinguished participation from university students, in a spiritual atmosphere that reflected the value of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ in the hearts of both male and female students.
The competition aimed to strengthen students’ connection to the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah, reinforce Islamic values, and cultivate a spirit of positive competition in the fields of goodness and knowledge. It also sought to contribute to developing a well‑balanced university personality that combines academic excellence with strong ethical commitment.
The competition witnessed participation across several categories, including memorizing the entire Qur’an, selected portions of it, and memorizing prophetic traditions (ahadith). The participants demonstrated outstanding performance, reflecting their awareness and dedication to upholding Islamic values throughout their academic and practical journeys.
A total of 107 male and female students from ten different colleges and six nationalities participated, showcasing the rich cultural diversity embraced by Jouf University and affirming that the Qur’an and Sunnah unite hearts across different races and languages.
The distribution of participants was as follows:

Male students: 50 participants
Female students: 57 participants

The College of Sharia and Law had the highest number of participants with 62, followed by the College of Computer and Information Sciences with 19, while the remaining participants were distributed across the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, Engineering, Arts, Applied Medical Sciences, Nursing, and Business. This reflects the presence of Islamic values across various academic and scientific disciplines.

In his speech during the ceremony, the University President emphasized that the Qur’an and Sunnah competition reflects a strong sense of belonging, awareness, and the reinforcement of the values upon which this blessed nation was established. He added that the university’s attention to the Qur’an and Sunnah is an extension of the identity of a nation founded on the sound Islamic creed.
At the conclusion of the event, the winners were honored, reaffirming the university’s support for initiatives that strengthen Islamic and national identity and reinforce its mission of preparing academically and ethically distinguished graduates capable of contributing effectively to serving religion and nation.
