First: Center for Health Research and Innovations

Center Description

The Center for Health Research and Innovations at Jouf University is an advanced research platform that supports all health disciplines at the university, including medicine, dentistry, nursing, medical laboratories, physical therapy, and pharmacy. The center aims to promote scientific research and innovation in the health field through a multidisciplinary environment that connects academic knowledge with clinical applications, thereby improving the quality of healthcare and raising the efficiency of services provided.

Its research areas cover translational medicine, biotechnology, public health, regenerative medicine, medical imaging, drug development, and health informatics. The center aligns with the Kingdom’s national research priorities focused on human health, as well as the third UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG): “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” The center aspires to achieve outstanding local and regional outcomes by supporting education, research, and community service in accordance with the highest standards of quality and excellence, contributing to meeting labor market needs and achieving sustainable national development.

Center Goals

  • Enhance scientific research in the health colleges of Jouf University.

Center Tasks

  • Develop and implement the annual research plan, including priorities, training, and budget preparation.
  • Support researchers in preparing, developing, and implementing projects across health disciplines.
  • Provide integrated research infrastructure, including labs, modern technologies, and technical/administrative support.
  • Organize workshops, training courses, and scientific seminars in health research and innovation.
  • Coordinate with the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research to implement initiatives and monitor outputs.
  • Facilitate collaboration with research centers, funding agencies, and government/private bodies locally and internationally.
  • Monitor and evaluate the societal and public health impact of research and innovations.
  • Seek research funding from both public and private sectors.

 

Second: Center for Scientific and Engineering Research and Innovations

Center Description

The Center for Scientific and Engineering Research and Innovations at Jouf University is a key pillar for advancing scientific knowledge and technological innovation. It focuses on a broad range of research topics aligned with national research priorities: human health, leadership in energy and industry, environmental sustainability and essential needs, and future economies.

Its research covers renewable energy and sustainability, advanced materials and nanotechnology, smart cities and urban development, water resources and environmental engineering, robotics and artificial intelligence, computer science and big data, among others. The center seeks to link academic research with industrial needs through strategic partnerships with local and international institutions, thereby increasing the societal impact of its outputs.

In addition, the center promotes a culture of innovation through events, workshops, and training programs that encourage creative thinking, while also supporting researchers through dedicated programs and initiatives.

Third: Center for Community and Humanities Studies

Center Description

The Center for Community and Humanities Studies at Jouf University is an academic beacon aimed at promoting research and development in social and humanitarian issues, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

It focuses on areas such as social interactions and structures, political issues (local and international), economic phenomena and their societal impact, public policy analysis, institutional management, and development approaches that balance social and environmental needs. These areas aim to deepen understanding of social, cultural, and economic issues and contribute effective solutions to contemporary challenges.

The center also develops innovative research programs reflecting local community needs and promotes scientific culture among students and researchers.

Fourth: Center for Research and Innovations in Sustainable Development

Center Description

The Center for Research and Innovations in Sustainable Development at Jouf University is a research institution dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and supporting innovation to tackle environmental, social, and economic challenges locally and globally.

It covers a wide range of areas aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Saudi Vision 2030, particularly human health, environmental sustainability and basic needs, energy and industry, and future economies.

Research areas include renewable energy and efficiency, sustainable agriculture and food security, water resources management, urban planning and sustainable cities, climate change and adaptation, socio-economic sustainability, health and quality of life, and related issues.

The center aspires to deliver “outstanding local and regional outputs” with a mission of providing exceptional educational, professional, research, and community contributions, following the highest standards of quality and excellence, while meeting labor market needs, establishing strong partnerships, serving society, and supporting sustainable national development.
