Introduction

Jouf University continues to implement its Strategic Plan (2022–2026) aimed at providing qualified academic staff to ensure the quality of teaching, research, and community service. The year 2023 is the second year of the plan, with a focus on filling needs in vital and growing departments.

This report reviews recruitment in 2023, comparing planned hiring targets with actual appointments, highlighting the challenges encountered, and offering recommendations to enhance performance in subsequent years.

General Objectives of the Report

  • Present the planned staffing needs for 2023 at the college and department levels.
  • Identify actual appointments made in each college and department.
  • Calculate completion rates and pinpoint strengths and gaps in recruitment.
  • Provide examples of faculty members appointed during the year.
  • Propose solutions to close gaps and overcome future challenges.

  • Overall Completion Rate: 81%

These figures indicate the University met about 81% of its academic staffing needs in 2023, reflecting substantial recruitment efforts, though some specialties were not fully covered.
