The National Center for Archives and Records Authority has approved the specialized records and archives regulations and schedules for 12 government entities, with Jouf University among the approved institutions. This step reflects the university’s progress in developing its records management system, strengthening governance practices in line with approved national best practices.

This accreditation comes as an extension of the university’s continuous efforts to regulate the document lifecycle, from creation and circulation to preservation, safe disposal, or permanent retention in accordance with regulatory timeframes. This contributes to enhancing compliance and transparency, improving administrative efficiency, accelerating access to information, supporting digital transformation, and elevating the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.

The university emphasized that the approval of the specialized records and archives regulations and schedules represents a significant driver for strengthening institutional governance, promoting a culture of systematic documentation, and safeguarding rights and information. In this context, His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Professor Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, commended this accreditation, stressing that it reflects the university’s strong commitment to applying national standards in records and archives management and building an institutional system capable of preserving knowledge and facilitating its circulation with the highest levels of reliability. He noted that this achievement supports the university’s journey toward institutional excellence and enhances its readiness in the fields of digital transformation, compliance, and governance.

The university also praised the efforts of the relevant working teams and the cooperation and integration among the concerned departments, which contributed to fulfilling the technical and regulatory requirements and preparing the regulations and schedules in accordance with approved guidelines, ensuring the sustainability and continuous development of records and archives management practices.
