Prof Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, the President of Jouf University, Met with the Students Participating in Serving the Guests of Allah and Praised Their Efforts.

As part of Jouf University' commitment to strengthening its community roles, His Excellency, the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, met with the university' students participating in serving the Guests of Allah during the Hajj season of 1446 AH. The meeting reflected the university' appreciation for the humanitarian and national role-played by its students within the programs and initiatives dedicated to serving the Hajj pilgrims. This is a great honor and a lofty national responsibility, whether through volunteer fieldwork or contributing to health, advisory, and organizational services, in cooperation with relevant authorities, within an organized volunteer framework aimed at supporting national efforts to serve the Guests of Allah's House (The Holy Mosque).

His Excellency, the University President emphasized that the contributions of the participating students reflect the excellence of Jouf University' students in engaging with the national issues and community initiatives, and coincide with the university' strategic objectives, which seek to prepare graduates who possess academic competence and the ability to contribute to sustainable community development. His Excellency indicated that the students' participation in this blessed endeavor represents a practical application of what the university seeks within its strategic objectives, which are to promote active citizenship, develop values, and support community and humanitarian initiatives.

He noted that the university will spare no effort in supporting the student initiatives with a national and societal impact. This is in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which places great importance on promoting a culture of volunteer work. He noted that the university continuously seeks to integrate these values ​​into its educational environment and motivate its students to engage in community initiatives. 

The present university' participation is under the slogan "Your Service is Our Pride." More than forty students are participating in the following locations: Mina, Muzdalifah, Jamarat, and Arafat. They provide a variety of services, including:

• Guidance in the holy sites and assistance for those lost

• Providing first aid

• Organizing the movement of pilgrims

• Providing assistance with accommodations or transportation

• Distributing water and meals

• Providing translation services for non-Arabic speaking pilgrims

• Facilitating communication between pilgrims and official bodies

Through this participation, Jouf University affirms its commitment to contributing to community service and developing the capabilities and skills of its students to serve the nation and its holy sites, in line with its educational, pedagogical, and developmental mission.
