Jouf University President Reviews the Annual Report of the Deanship of Admission and Registration for the Academic Year 1447 AH

The President of Jouf University, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, received the Dean of the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the deanship’s vice deans to review the annual report of the Deanship for the academic year 1447 AH, and to highlight the most prominent achievements in the fields of admission, registration, academic services, and the development of procedures related to students’ educational journey.

During the meeting, the main sections of the annual report were reviewed, including the Deanship’s efforts in organizing admission and registration processes, following up on academic schedules, managing academic records, and providing services to students and graduates. The report also highlighted the development of work mechanisms and the improvement of electronic services, contributing to an enhanced beneficiary experience and greater quality in academic and administrative performance.

The presentation also addressed the Deanship’s efforts in supporting colleges and academic programs, facilitating procedures related to course add/drop, transfer, equivalency, and study plans, in addition to monitoring academic data and ensuring its accuracy. It also reviewed the development of reports and indicators that support decision-making and strengthen integration between the Deanship and relevant university entities.

The report further showcased a number of indicators and figures reflecting the volume of work accomplished by the Deanship during the academic year 1447 AH. The total number of graduates reached 4,654 male and female graduates, while registration processes exceeded 200,000 transactions. More than 1,600 courses were made available, over 7,000 academic movement requests were processed through the system, and more than 15,000 document-related services were provided to students and graduates. The Deanship also achieved a 100% admission rate for applicants with disabilities, reflecting its commitment to facilitating procedures and promoting inclusiveness.

In the field of library services and learning resources, the university libraries received more than 8,000 visitors and provided access to 16 digital databases and more than 5 million e-books for students, researchers, and faculty members. The Deanship also implemented 12 training workshops and launched four quality initiatives, most notably “Rushd,” “Daemoon,” and “Hayyakum,” benefiting around 1,500 participants. These efforts reflect the Deanship’s role in building capacities and enhancing the student experience from admission to graduation.

During the meeting, the President of the University affirmed that the Deanship of Admission and Registration represents one of the key pillars of the academic system, given its direct connection to the student journey from admission through graduation. He emphasized the importance of continuing to develop services, accelerate procedures, and enhance digital transformation in order to provide students and beneficiaries with a more efficient and transparent university experience.

His Excellency commended the efforts and achievements presented in the report, stressing the importance of continuous work to improve the quality of academic services, enhance data accuracy, develop performance indicators, and utilize modern technologies to improve admission and registration procedures. He noted that these efforts are aligned with the University’s objectives and strategic plan, and support its direction toward institutional excellence and quality outcomes.

For his part, the Acting Dean of the Deanship of Admission and Registration, Dr. Fayez bin Khalaf Al-Anzi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President of the University for his continued support and attention to the work of the Deanship. He affirmed that the Deanship will continue to develop its services and procedures and strengthen integration with colleges and relevant entities, contributing to serving students, improving the efficiency of academic work, and achieving the University’s aspirations toward a higher-quality and more effective educational environment.
