President of Jouf University Receives the Dean of the College of Nursing, Vice Deans, and Department Heads, Reviews the College’s Annual Report, and Commends Its Achievements and Global Recognition of Its Academic Programs
His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, received the Dean of the College of Nursing, alongside the vice deans and department heads. During the meeting, the annual report of the college for the academic year 1446 AH was presented, highlighting remarkable achievements across academic, research, and community service domains. These accomplishments were reflected in academic accreditations, research excellence, international awards, and community outreach programs. The President praised the college for obtaining full accreditation for its Bachelor of Nursing program from the Education & Training Evaluation Commission, updating its curriculum, and activating direct admission. In addition, the college launched master’s programs in nursing sciences with multiple tracks, an academic promotion program for diploma holders, a Patient Care Technician diploma in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and a Bachelor of Nursing program for military students. On the research front, the college published more than 75 peer-reviewed scientific papers, achieved a high citation rate, and registered two patents at local and international levels, currently under process.


The college also attained notable success in academic and research awards, earning five awards across academic and sports categories. These awards reflect the college’s commitment to excellence in academics, research, and student development, while also enhancing student participation in competitions and events, and promoting creativity and distinction in alignment with the university’s vision and dedication to educational quality and community service.
Furthermore, the college implemented outstanding volunteer initiatives, carrying out 324 community service projects and recording 14,400 student volunteer hours, while activating health volunteer platforms.
The report also indicated that all 127 graduates (male and female) of the academic year 1446 AH were directly employed upon graduation in fields including general healthcare, specialized nursing, clinical training, and healthcare workforce development programs in both civilian and military sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President commended the college’s achievements, stressing that they reflect the dedicated efforts of its faculty and staff and mark a significant step towards fulfilling the university’s vision of becoming a national model that matches global standards in education, research, innovation, and community service. For his part, the Dean of the College expressed gratitude to the President for his continuous support, affirming the college’s commitment to sustaining excellence and achieving the strategic goals of the university in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
