Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya Meets with the Intellectual Awareness Department and Reviews Its Plan for the 1448 AH Academic Year: More Than 200 Programs and Activities Targeting Over 27,000 Beneficiaries

President meets intellectual Awareness Department

Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya met with the University’s Intellectual Awareness Department and reviewed its executive plan, program targets, and activities for the 1448 AH academic year, as well as the proposed areas of work aimed at promoting awareness, fostering balanced thinking, and reinforcing national values among members of the University community, in alignment with the University’s strategic directions and objectives.

During the meeting, the Department presented its plan for the academic year, which aims to reach more than 27,000 beneficiaries, including male and female students, faculty members, and administrative staff, through the implementation of more than 200 programs and activities, with the participation of 19 colleges and deanships and contributions from more than 150 speakers and presenters. These efforts are designed to broaden the reach of the programs and strengthen their impact across the University community.

The plan includes a diverse range of programs and activities, comprising more than 50 seminars, 50 lectures, 20 discussion sessions and workshops, 30 awareness booths, 15 competitions, and 10 visits, within an integrated framework that seeks to transform intellectual awareness from individual awareness activities into a sustainable institutional practice with measurable impact.

The plan focuses on six key areas: highlighting the Kingdom’s standing, strengthening loyalty and national belonging, promoting intellectual security, fostering moderation and balance, encouraging tolerance and coexistence, and countering rumors and misinformation. These areas are addressed through content and programs tailored to the needs of target groups and responsive to evolving intellectual and societal developments.

During the meeting, the University President stressed the importance of ensuring that intellectual awareness programs are built around clear strategic objectives and measurable performance indicators, and that they are directly aligned with the University’s priorities and strategic plan. He noted that this approach strengthens the University’s role in developing well-informed and balanced individuals, reinforcing national identity and values, and fostering an intellectually secure university environment that encourages responsible dialogue and positive belonging.

Prof. Al-Shaya also emphasized the importance of integration and coordination between the Intellectual Awareness Department, colleges, deanships, and relevant entities, as well as the development of high-quality programs based on beneficiaries’ needs and the continuous measurement of their impact. He noted that awareness is one of the key enablers in developing individuals, and that the success of such programs should not be measured merely by the number of activities, but by the extent of the impact they create on thought, behavior, and practice.

This comes as part of Jouf University’s commitment to aligning its initiatives and programs with its strategic objectives and strengthening its educational, developmental, and societal role in preparing an aware generation that takes pride in its identity and nation, is capable of responding to change and challenges with awareness and responsibility, and contributes effectively to the Kingdom’s national development.
