The President of the “Jouf of Knowledge” initiative

In a step reflecting Jouf University’s commitment to investing in human capital, expanding lifelong learning opportunities, and maximizing the utilization of digital educational and training resources, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya’, launched the “Jouf Knowledge” initiative. Implemented by the University through the Deanship of E-Learning and Digital Transformation, in collaboration with the National eLearning Center, the initiative carries the slogan “Sharing Knowledge… Creating Impact.” It aims to provide University members and the wider community with high-quality training and professional development opportunities that enhance skills and competencies and strengthen readiness for future demands.

The initiative builds on the University’s ongoing efforts to advance its educational and training ecosystem and adopt innovative digital solutions that make knowledge accessible to broader segments of society. It also promotes integration with the national e-learning ecosystem, contributing to more efficient utilization of shared digital educational resources, improved learning outcomes, and the establishment of a culture of lifelong learning. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030 and its objectives of developing human capabilities and building a competitive knowledge-based society.

The “Jouf Knowledge” initiative offers 32 training programs across 10 diverse training tracks covering several vital and emerging fields, most notably artificial intelligence and data science, technology and cybersecurity, energy and sustainability, and personal and leadership skills. These programs are designed to keep pace with rapid transformations in the labor market while enabling participants to acquire specialized, digital, and professional skills that enhance their performance and competitiveness.

The initiative targets University students, faculty members, administrative staff, and community members, with an ambitious goal of achieving 10,000 training certificates. This target reflects the initiative’s commitment to expanding access to training and development opportunities and encouraging community participation in utilizing available knowledge resources. It further underscores the University’s role as an educational and developmental institution whose impact extends to various segments of society.

The initiative represents a model of integration between educational institutions and specialized national entities through the effective utilization of shared digital educational resources, reducing duplication of efforts, improving spending efficiency, and optimizing available capabilities. It also seeks to establish a flexible training ecosystem that responds to the evolving needs of beneficiaries and supports the sustainability of professional and knowledge development.

In this context, His Excellency the University President, Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya’, emphasized that investing in people and developing their capabilities constitute fundamental pillars of the University’s pursuit of excellence and sustainability. He noted that the “Jouf Knowledge” initiative embodies the University’s commitment to transforming knowledge into meaningful opportunities for development and empowerment, while extending its educational and developmental impact to University members and the wider community. This is achieved by providing specialized training pathways that support the acquisition of future skills and contribute to preparing qualified national talent capable of adapting to ongoing transformations and actively participating in national development.

The initiative follows a phased implementation approach, beginning with preparation and integration, followed by the launch and activation of training programs and participant registration. Subsequent phases involve monitoring utilization rates, participation levels, and the issuance of training certificates, leading to continuous improvement and development based on beneficiaries’ needs and performance measurement results. This structured approach is designed to ensure the initiative’s effectiveness and the sustainability of its impact.

The launch of the “Jouf Knowledge” initiative reaffirms Jouf University’s continued commitment to strengthening its role as a hub for knowledge and a catalyst for development. It also reflects the University’s determination to expand its contribution to human capability development, leverage digital transformation to facilitate access to learning and professional development opportunities, and strengthen national partnerships that generate sustainable educational and societal impact. These efforts stem from the University’s vision that knowledge goes beyond acquiring skills to empowering individuals and shaping the future.
