News – College of Nursing, Jouf University

The College of Nursing at Jouf University, represented by the Student Activities, Initiatives, and Community Service Committee, organized an awareness event titled “Personal Protective Equipment… Your Shield Against Risks” on Wednesday morning, November 19, 2025, at the college campus, with the participation of faculty members and nursing students.

The event aimed to raise awareness among students and university staff about the importance of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the nursing environment, as well as the correct methods of using it to reduce the transmission of infections and protect both healthcare workers and patients. The activity included an educational booth featuring different types of PPE, along with a practical demonstration of proper donning and doffing techniques. Informational brochures and small gifts were also distributed.

The booth witnessed strong attendance and interaction from College of Nursing students, who engaged with questions and discussions about best practices for using PPE in healthcare settings, enhancing their professional competence and supporting the implementation of safety and infection control standards.

At the end of the event, Dr. Mohamed Ezz expressed his gratitude to the participating colleagues, the engaged students, and all team members involved in organizing and executing the activity. He emphasized the College of Nursing’s commitment at Jouf University to continuing such training and awareness initiatives that promote the safety of healthcare practitioners and enhance the quality of healthcare services within the community.
