The Legal Affairs Department serves as a cornerstone ensuring that the University's operations are conducted in full alignment with the legal and regulatory frameworks of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Established as a specialized advisory body, the Department is dedicated to providing accurate and reliable legal counsel to all sectors and administrative units of the University, while ensuring complete compliance with national laws, regulations, and internal governance policies.

Organizationally, the Department reports directly to His Excellency the President of the University, underscoring the strategic importance of its role within the University's governance system. This direct affiliation enables the Department to deliver timely legal advice and to participate effectively in strategic decision-making processes that shape the University's development and institutional advancement.

Since its establishment, the Legal Affairs Department has undergone continuous growth and evolution—both structurally and functionally—in response to the University's expanding academic, research, and administrative activities.
