Dr. Mohammed Adel Ghoneam, a faculty member at the College of Nursing at Jouf University, contributed to the development of an innovative smart injection pen design aimed at enhancing the safety of injection procedures. The design was registered with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), reflecting the contributions of the College’s academic staff to innovations related to healthcare practices.

The design received European Union registration under No. (015140889-0001) on April 30, 2026, in Class (24-02) of the International Locarno Classification, officially documenting its registration with the European authority responsible for intellectual property protection.

The innovation aims to enhance the safety of injection procedures through a smart pen design, paving the way for the development of technological solutions that support nursing practices and healthcare delivery.
