The award was presented during a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister, Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, in conjunction with the Saudi and International Volunteer Day.
This award is considered one of the most prominent national awards that measures the true impact of institutional volunteer initiatives and their ability to expand community participation and enhance the culture of volunteering as a civilized value within Saudi society.
This accomplishment reaffirms the university’s vital role in empowering its members to generate tangible impact through high-quality humanitarian and developmental initiatives. It is the result of an integrated developmental system that transformed volunteering from an optional activity into a structured educational and practical practice—reflected in the significant rise in participation and the expansion of initiatives across health, environmental, social, educational, and knowledge-based fields.
The achievement aligns directly with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase the number of volunteers annually and strengthen community engagement as a pillar of quality of life and national development. Through its administrative units, colleges, and volunteer student teams, the university has translated this vision into sustainable, high-impact projects—resulting in thousands of volunteer hours, wide participation across all university sectors, and strategic national partnerships that amplified impact and broadened outreach.
On this occasion, His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, stated that winning the National Award for Volunteer Work 2025 reflects the deeply rooted spirit of giving within the university community and stands as evidence of a mature volunteer ecosystem built on planning, partnership, documentation, and measurable impact.
He added that this achievement is not merely an award for the university, but the result of the dedication of its students, youth, and employees who believe that serving the community is a national responsibility that elevates human values and builds conscious, productive societies.
He further emphasized that the university will continue to expand and elevate its volunteer efforts and launch broader, more impactful initiatives in alignment with Vision 2030 to build a generation of volunteers who are creative, empowered, and proudly connected to their homeland.
