Jouf University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Environmental Academy during the activities of Saudi Water Week 2026, in a step that reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening its national partnerships with specialized entities and expanding areas of cooperation in education, training, scientific research, and innovation. This cooperation supports the development of national capabilities in environmental fields and contributes to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Jouf University was represented at the signing ceremony by the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Mohammed bin Metrib Al-Dandani, while the National Environmental Academy was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Abdullah bin Faisal Al-Subaie.

The MoU aims to establish a sustainable strategic partnership between the two parties, enhance integration in education, training, and capacity building, and support scientific research and innovation in environmental fields. It also seeks to implement joint programs and initiatives and exchange expertise in a way that contributes to improving knowledge and training outcomes and qualifying national competencies capable of contributing to environmental protection and the sustainability of natural resources.

Areas of cooperation between Jouf University and the National Environmental Academy include developing specialized academic and training programs, advancing scientific research, development, and innovation in environmental issues, implementing joint qualitative initiatives, and supporting capacity-building programs to qualify national talents. These efforts strengthen the role of academic and training institutions in serving national priorities related to environment and sustainability.

President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, affirmed that signing the MoU with the National Environmental Academy comes within the University’s commitment to strengthening its national presence in the fields of environment and sustainability, and activating its academic and research role in supporting the Kingdom’s development priorities.

His Excellency added that the University’s participation in Saudi Water Week 2026 and the signing of this MoU reflect its commitment to supporting environmental, water, and sustainability issues. He emphasized that Jouf University will continue expanding its partnerships with national entities and leveraging its research, academic, and scientific capabilities to serve sustainable development, enhance quality of life, and contribute to building a more sustainable environmental future.
