Dean's speech
In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud — may God protect him — and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz — may God protect him — whose Vision 2030 has placed the empowered, capable, and initiative-driven Saudi individual at the center of every national institution, the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Jouf rises to meet this calling. Building a generation worthy of this nation and this transformative era is not merely an aspiration — it is our daily mandate.
Within this national framework, and in direct support of the forward-looking vision of His Excellency the University President, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya — whose deep commitment to student development and belief in the human dimension of education drives the university's institutional momentum — the Deanship works with dedication and purpose. His Excellency's personal presence at our events, his sustained support, and his guiding directives lend our work both direction and distinction.
From this foundation, the Deanship of Student Affairs oversees a broad spectrum of programs and services that support the educational mission of the university — creating the right environment for academic achievement, training students across diverse fields to upgrade their skills, developing their intellectual and physical capacities, and preparing them in an integrated and balanced manner to graduate as capable citizens ready to compete academically, professionally, and vocationally.
This mission unfolds across three defining pillars:
First — Student Activities, Competitions & Awards: Every student carries a talent waiting for a platform. The Deanship delivers a rich, year-round calendar of athletic, cultural, scientific, and creative programs — carrying the university's banner into local and national competitions, and honoring excellence through recognition ceremonies that make achievement a living culture on campus. We are committed to channeling students' high-level potential in ways that serve both their faith and their nation, guided by deliberate and well-structured plans.
Second — Student Services: Our support extends into students' daily lives through an integrated suite of services encompassing academic counseling and advising, psychological and social support, financial grants and assistance, and digital services that simplify procedures and bring students closer to what they need. We see the student as a whole person — not a registration number.
Third — Volunteering & Community Responsibility: The university places great importance on developing its community responsibility and volunteering ecosystem, and on embedding a culture of giving among its members — through governance frameworks and sustainable initiatives that respond to the region's needs and align with Vision 2030 priorities. The Deanship leads this effort with the conviction that a university's truest output is not only graduates, but citizens who give back.
Welcome to the Deanship of Student Affairs — where talents are nurtured, communities are served, and leaders are made.
