Applied Medical Sciences in Al-Qurayyat organizes an event on "Nicotine and its health dimensions"
Under the supervision of Her Excellency the Dean of the College, and coinciding with World Nicotine Awareness Day, the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat, represented by the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences in cooperation with the Department of Nursing, held an awareness event entitled "Nicotine and its Health Implications" on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
The event included an introduction to nicotine, its composition in cigarettes, and its health risks. It emphasized the importance of combating smoking by encouraging smokers to quit. This was followed by a visual presentation on the harmful effects of smoking on various body systems, such as the lungs, gums, teeth, stomach, and nervous system. The event also included breathing exercises using a respiratory stimulation device.The event concluded with a Q&A session.
