Jouf University achieved distinguished results with its students' winning two medals (gold and silver) in the Saudi University Sports Federation Karate Championship in its fifteenth season, hosted by King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, with the participation of a number of Saudi universities.
The student Saif Al-Qaid has achieved the first place in the weight of more than 84 kg, adding a new gold to the university' record, while student Khaled Al-Kurai'e won the second place in the weight of 60 kg, in an achievement that reflects the high level of preparation and training of the university' students in various sports.
On this occasion, His Excellency, the President of the University, Prof. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, congratulated the university' students on this achievement, and His Excellency indicated that this achievement reflects the great support that the university provides to the university sports, and enhances its position in various sports forums at the level of the Kingdom. His Excellency also stressed that the university is keen to support university sports and encourage students to excel in various sports.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Mazhour, Dean of the Deanship of Students' Affairs, praised the support of His Excellency, the University' President and his keenness on the necessity of providing the appropriate environment to develop students' skills in various fields. He also praised the efforts of the players and the technical staff, noting that this success comes as a result of the good preparation and intensive training that the team underwent, stressing the university' continuous support for sports talents.
The delegation of Jouf University participating in the tournament was headed by Dr. Shaher bin Abdul Kareem Al-Shaher, Vice Dean of the Deanship of Students' Affairs for Student Activities, and Mr. Ahmed Khalaf Al-Ruwaili.
