Jouf University Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Saudi Electronic University to Strengthen Academic Integration and Support Specialized Programs
Jouf University has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Saudi Electronic University as part of its commitment to strengthening national partnerships and reinforcing institutional integration among Saudi universities. The agreement aims to advance the higher education ecosystem and enhance the quality and competitiveness of its outcomes.
The agreement was signed on behalf of Jouf University by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, while the Saudi Electronic University was represented by its President, Prof. Mohammed bin Yahya Mardi.
This agreement reflects Jouf University’s strategic approach to building impactful and sustainable partnerships, aligned with its ambitious vision for academic excellence, national and international competitiveness, and the development of high-quality academic programs that respond to labor market needs and keep pace with rapid transformations in the educational landscape. The initiative supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in advancing human capability development and fostering a knowledge-based, innovation-driven economy.
The agreement aims to design and implement joint academic programs at the postgraduate level, in addition to bridging and diploma programs across accredited specializations approved by the relevant authorities. The collaboration will enhance flexibility in academic pathways, expand access to higher education, and strengthen graduates’ academic and professional readiness.
Areas of cooperation include the joint development of study plans, refinement of admission criteria, exchange of academic expertise and faculty members, and the utilization of advanced digital and educational platforms to support blended and e-learning models. The agreement also provides for coordination in academic accreditation and quality assurance processes in accordance with national regulations and standards.
His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya emphasized that the agreement represents a strategic milestone in deepening the University’s national partnerships and strengthening collaboration with leading Saudi institutions. He noted that Jouf University operates under a clear strategic plan focused on developing specialized academic programs, enhancing educational quality, and adopting flexible learning models that support digital transformation and lifelong learning opportunities.
He further highlighted that effective national partnerships are fundamental to achieving institutional excellence and sustainability. The collaboration with the Saudi Electronic University will deliver high-quality joint programs that combine strong academic foundations with advanced digital education, thereby enhancing academic performance, improving students’ competitiveness in the labor market, and fulfilling the aspirations of the Kingdom’s leadership in advancing the university education system.
For his part, Prof. Mohammed bin Yahya bin Mardi Al-Zahrani affirmed that the agreement reflects the spirit of integration among Saudi universities and contributes to expanding specialized academic programs while maximizing the use of modern educational technologies in line with the Kingdom’s digital transformation and academic development objectives.
