President of Jouf University Reviews the Deanship of Student Affairs’ Annual Report, Achievements, and Development Plans

The President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, received the Dean of Student Affairs and the Deanship’s Vice Deans. During the meeting, they reviewed the Deanship’s annual report for the 1447 AH academic year, highlighting performance indicators and notable achievements in student services, activities, volunteering, and community service, as well as its objectives and development plans for the coming period.

The President reviewed the Deanship’s accomplishments throughout the academic year, which included the implementation of 183 programs, initiatives, and events, with more than 3,900 students participating in student activities. The Deanship also provided an integrated range of services covering housing, food services, transportation, psychological and social counseling, and support for students with disabilities and international students.

The report showed that more than 10,000 beneficiaries received student services, over 24,000 student transportation trips were operated, and food services were provided across 14 locations. Beneficiary satisfaction reached 95%, reflecting the Deanship’s efforts to enhance service quality and efficiency and improve the overall student experience.

The meeting also reviewed student excellence during the academic year, with 18 local and international achievements and awards in innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, sports, and inventions. Key accomplishments included the Excellence Award at the International Competition on Artificial Intelligence in Education in Hong Kong and third place globally at the World University Combat Sports Championship. Jouf University students also won medals at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and secured leading positions in several hackathons and scientific and technical forums.

The report further highlighted achievements in volunteering, with 25,617 volunteers participating in 2,899 opportunities and completing a total of 361,214 documented volunteer hours. The University’s efforts were crowned by winning the National Award for Voluntary Work and being recognized among the leading government entities in volunteer engagement across the Al-Jouf region. The University was also honored for managing voluntary work in accordance with the governance requirements of the Saudi National Standard “Edamah” and for its excellence in social responsibility.

Prof. Al-Shaya emphasized that student support and the continuous development of the university experience are fundamental priorities for Jouf University. He noted that these achievements reflect the integrated efforts to empower students, develop their capabilities, support their talents and innovations, and create a stimulating environment for their active participation in distinguished programs and competitions locally and internationally.

He directed the Deanship to continue enhancing student services and activities, strengthen programs focused on future skills and quality of life, and expand opportunities for student participation and volunteering. He also stressed the importance of measuring the impact and sustainability of initiatives to prepare qualified students capable of contributing to national development and advancing the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the President commended the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs and its staff. He underscored the importance of building on the progress achieved and developing more innovative and impactful initiatives that strengthen the University’s standing and enhance the quality and impact of campus life for students and the wider community.
