Participation of Jouf University in the Second Meeting of University Vice Presidents for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research

The Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research participated in the second meeting of the Secretariat of the Committee of Vice Presidents and Deputies of Saudi Universities for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, hosted by King Faisal University. The participation reaffirmed the university’s national commitment to advancing the graduate studies and research system and strengthening its presence in academic forums that contribute to shaping academic policies across the Kingdom

The meeting discussed several important topics that represent key pillars of development in higher education institutions. It addressed ways to enhance the quality of graduate academic programs and improve their efficiency in alignment with labor market needs and contemporary research trends. Participants also explored mechanisms for developing academic governance and improving institutional performance to achieve the highest quality standards.
The meeting further included a review of pathways for advancing scientific publishing and major initiatives aimed at increasing knowledge enrichment and encouraging distinguished research output within Saudi universities. It also emphasized enhancing joint programs between educational institutions and supporting collaboration among researchers locally and internationally to achieve impactful research outcomes

The meeting also focused on the importance of supporting national and international research partnerships, as they are a key element in knowledge transfer, exchange of expertise, and enabling national talents to access global scientific platforms. It also highlighted the need to stimulate an innovation-friendly environment within universities and to empower research entrepreneurship among graduate students and faculty members.

Al-Jouf University had an active presence at the second meeting of the Secretariat of the Committee of Vice Presidents and Vice Rectors for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at Saudi universities, which was hosted by King Faisal University. The university’s participation came as an affirmation of its national commitment to advancing the system of graduate studies and scientific research, and enhancing its presence in scientific forums that contribute to developing academic policies at the national level.
