As part of its active community role and ongoing efforts to enhance public health, Jouf University participated with a comprehensive medical services pavilion in the “Ready… Feel Reassured?” initiative launched by the Strategic Office for the Development of Al-Jouf Region, aiming to raise health awareness among the local community, promote early disease detection, and strengthen preventive health measures — in line with Saudi Vision 2030, particularly its focus on health, prevention, and quality of life.

The university’s pavilion included several specialized sections that provided high-quality services to visitors, including:

• Reception and Health Education Section, which offered educational explanations and consultations on healthy lifestyles and the prevention of chronic diseases.
• Optometry Section, which conducted preliminary vision tests and early screenings for eye diseases.
• Laboratory Section, which provided basic tests such as blood sugar and hemoglobin measurements.
• Audiology Section, which offered precise hearing tests and consultations.
• Vital Signs Section, where visitors could measure blood pressure, heart rate, and body mass index.
• Medical Consultation Section, which included a group of physicians and faculty members who provided individualized medical advice and guided cases requiring further follow-up.

The pavilion received 3,667 visitors, reflecting the strong public engagement with the initiative and its positive impact on promoting health culture and awareness among community members. On this occasion, His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, emphasized that the university’s participation in this initiative comes as part of an integrated system of health and community programs and initiatives implemented by the university as a translation of its mission to serve the community and develop human capabilities, in alignment with its strategic plan, which focuses on enhancing quality of life, supporting public health, and strengthening institutional partnerships with national and regional entities.

His Excellency added: “Jouf University aspires to serve as a center of expertise and a source of academic and professional support for various developmental initiatives in the region, in collaboration with the Strategic Office for the Development of Al-Jouf Region, in pursuit of the aspirations of our wise leadership and in realization of Saudi Vision 2030, which places the human being at the heart and purpose of development.”

He also noted that the university is keen to maximize the efforts of its medical and academic teams, contributing to the enhancement of health awareness and the delivery of preventive and therapeutic services to the local community across the region’s governorates.
