In line with its commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that fosters student success and supports a strong academic start, Jouf University, represented by the Vice Presidency for Educational Affairs, has launched orientation programs for first-year students for the academic year 1447 AH. These initiatives aim to familiarize students with the university’s regulations, available services, and to build bridges of communication with faculty members and administrative units from the very first day of their university journey.
The programs included introductory sessions in various colleges and support deanships, as well as workshops on academic advising, psychological and social support, and effective university learning skills. Students were also introduced to available academic and digital services, such as registration systems, technical support, and e-learning platforms. In addition, the programs highlighted volunteering opportunities and student activities that help develop leadership skills and strengthen social belonging.
On this occasion, University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya emphasized that the university places great care on its new students, considering them the cornerstone of the nation’s future. He noted that these orientation programs are not merely introductory events but a strategic investment in students’ futures, designed to instill confidence and provide them with the tools necessary for academic and professional success from day one.
He added:
"By implementing these quality programs, Jouf University reflects its institutional strategy that focuses on enhancing quality of campus life, achieving academic excellence, and providing comprehensive student support in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which places human development and knowledge advancement at the forefront of its priorities. The university is dedicated to graduating proactive students who are influential in serving their communities and country."
Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Alaa bin Saleh Al-Arjan, further explained that the colleges and deanships have designed interactive programs tailored to students’ various needs—academic, psychological, and social. He added that the university has leveraged its digital systems and modern technological services to streamline all processes, from course registration to academic progress monitoring.
Through these programs, launched at the beginning of the 1447 AH academic year, the university seeks to ensure that the transition to university life is a rich experience that integrates academics with guidance and social support. This approach strengthens institutional belonging and supports the university’s strategic goals in preparing a well-rounded generation equipped with knowledge, skills, and values, capable of contributing effectively to national development.
