Jouf University Hosts Presidents of Gulf Universities to Discuss Higher Education Development and Alignment with the Labor Market

His Excellency, Professor Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of Jouf University, Expresses Pleasure at Hosting Gulf University Leaders His Excellency expressed his pleasure in hosting a distinguished group of Gulf university presidents and vice presidents as part of a meeting that contributed to formulating scientific and research-based recommendations to strengthen the higher education strategy in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to develop the educational system. He highlighted that the meeting focused on key thematic areas, including cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, in addition to providing educational opportunities for talented students and those with special needs. The meeting also resulted in collaborative programs designed to support the development of human capital in the Gulf and enhance the quality of university outputs to meet labor market requirements. The event featured a symposium on “University Differentiation and the Role of Its Outputs in Meeting Labor Market Needs”, attended by Eng. Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, Assistant Minister of Education, and Dr. Waleed Al-Saleh, who discussed the role of universities in identifying future academic specialties, improving education quality, and measuring its impact on development. His Excellency praised the participation of Gulf representatives and the exceptional organization of the event, commending the efforts of the GCC Secretariat and his colleagues at the university for producing recommendations that support the advancement of higher education in the region.
