In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and optimism, Jouf University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a welcoming ceremony for new students for the academic year 1447H under the theme: “Your Beginning with Us… An Ambitious Generation and High Aspiration.” The event was held under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of the University, along with the University’s vice presidents, deans of colleges, supporting deanships, faculty members, and students.

The ceremony opened with the Saudi national anthem followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an. A visual presentation titled “Your Beginning with Us” was then showcased, portraying the student’s journey from enrollment at the university to graduation, and highlighting the University’s commitment to providing an inspiring and supportive environment for excellence and creativity. The event also included the segment “Graduate’s Journey,” which shed light on success stories of the University’s alumni across various fields.

In his speech, His Excellency the University President welcomed the new students and emphasized that students are at the heart of the University’s strategy. He noted that joining the University is not merely the start of a new academic phase, but rather the beginning of a life journey defined by hope, ambition, hard work, and perseverance. He stressed the University’s keenness to provide a comprehensive educational, research, and innovative environment. His Excellency added that the University has developed its strategic plan in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program, aiming for Jouf University to be a leader in education, research, and innovation, while empowering its male and female students to be active contributors to national development and capable of competing globally.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, the University held an integrated introductory exhibition showcasing the academic programs, student services, and initiatives for academic, social, and psychological guidance offered by colleges, supporting deanships, and administrative units. This reflects the University’s dedication to building a comprehensive environment that fosters learning and creativity.

Several new students expressed their pride in joining the University, affirming that the ceremony gave them strong motivation to embark on their academic journey. They noted that from the very first moment, they felt the University’s care and its commitment to providing all the tools needed for success, which inspires them to work hard and strive for excellence.
