Jouf University concludes summer student activities program
In a vibrant atmosphere filled with creativity and engagement, Jouf University concluded its summer student activities program for the academic year 1447H under the theme “Our Summer is Fruitful… Our Summer is Beautiful.” The closing ceremony was held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, President of the University, with the attendance of the university’s vice presidents, deans of colleges, and supporting deanships, along with broad participation from students and community members.


The university presented a distinctive program that combined entertainment and knowledge, reflecting its vision of providing balanced activities that foster students’ physical, intellectual, academic, and social development, while also engaging the wider community. The program included 28 events with more than 4000 participants, covering:
- Sports tournaments in various fields, promoting fair competition and teamwork.
- Specialized workshops aimed at developing academic and personal skills and nurturing student talents.
- Awareness campaigns in health and social fields, designed to raise community awareness and responsibility.
- Scientific lectures in technology and artificial intelligence, introducing participants to the latest advancements in this vital field and highlighting its pivotal role in digital transformation and knowledge-based economies.
The program stood out by being open to all community segments, underscoring the university’s role as an educational and societal beacon that extends beyond classrooms to the broader society.
In his closing speech, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya expressed his delight with the program’s success, emphasizing that Jouf University’s summer activities program was a vibrant platform for creativity and an open arena for unleashing the talents and capabilities of students in diverse fields.


He stressed that these programs align with the university’s strategic plan, which places students at the center of the educational process, ensuring their success goes beyond classrooms to include culture, art, sports, and innovation. The activities were not limited to the university’s students but also extended to the local community, reaffirming the university’s pioneering role in community service and its mission as a developmental partner that builds strong bridges with society.
Dr. Ahmed bin Saad Al-Mazh’hour, Dean of Student Affairs, thanked the President of the University for his support and follow-up, noting that the summer programs represented a true investment in youth potential. He highlighted that the program reflected national pride by offering activities that strengthen authentic Saudi identity while reinforcing the university’s social responsibility through events targeting different age and social groups, thereby enhancing the bond between the university and the local community.


The ceremony concluded with honoring the participants and distinguished students in various activities, recognizing their efforts and achievements in a scene that reflects the university’s culture of motivation and excellence, while fostering a spirit of constructive competition among students.
