The College Celebrates World Physical Therapy Day

The College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University organized an event to mark World Physical Therapy Day, which falls on September 8. The event featured an introductory lecture along with a comprehensive awareness corner showcasing the various branches of physical therapy.

The lecture highlighted the importance of physical therapy as a health profession concerned with movement, function, and quality of performance. It aims at prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for all age groups, while presenting the main therapeutic approaches such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, therapeutic devices, hydrotherapy, and health education. The lecture also emphasized the role of physical therapy in promoting healthy aging and enhancing quality of life.

The awareness corner was the most prominent feature of the event, where the specialized branches of physical therapy presented informative materials explaining the different fields and therapeutic approaches. Attendees were also able to explore practical applications, ask questions, and receive direct guidance on prevention, improving mobility, and maintaining overall health.

The event concluded by stressing that physical therapy is not merely a treatment method, but rather a lifestyle that contributes to health promotion and the enhancement of quality of life.
