Jouf University celebrated Saudi National Day during a ceremony held at the University City, attended by His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, along with university leaders, faculty and staff members, and students. The celebration took place in a patriotic atmosphere that reflected pride in the nation and highlighted the Kingdom’s enduring journey of unification, development, progress, and achievement.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a visual presentation entitled “The Journey of Unification,” which revisited the founding and unification of the Kingdom by its founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud — may Allah have mercy on him — and reflected on the decades of development and achievement that followed, strengthening the Kingdom’s position and contributing to its prosperous present.

The ceremony also featured a national operetta entitled “A Nation That Rose to Greatness,” which, through its lyrics, music, and performance, expressed sentiments of love, loyalty, and belonging to the homeland. An accompanying exhibition featured 16 pavilions designed around an integrated narrative concept, taking visitors on a journey through three successive stages: the beginnings, the present, and the future. The exhibition offered a cohesive portrayal of the Kingdom’s journey, connecting its rich heritage with its prosperous present and ambitious aspirations for the future. The ceremony also included a variety of other segments celebrating the Kingdom’s history and achievements and highlighting the comprehensive development it continues to witness across various fields.

At the beginning of his address on this occasion, His Excellency the President of Jouf University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, extended his highest congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister — may Allah protect them — as well as to the people of the Kingdom. He prayed that Allah preserve the Kingdom and its leadership, sustain its security, stability, and prosperity, and continue its blessed journey toward further progress and development.

In his remarks during the ceremony, His Excellency emphasized that National Day is a cherished occasion on which the values of belonging and loyalty are renewed, and the responsibility to serve the nation through work and achievement is reaffirmed. It is also an occasion on which generations recall the story of the unification of a great nation whose foundations were laid by King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud — may Allah have mercy on him. That journey has continued through decades of dedication, development, and accomplishment, enabling the Kingdom today, under its wise leadership, to move forward with confidence and ambition toward a more prosperous and pioneering future.

The University President said: “On National Day, the depth of our celebration is measured by what we contribute to our nation through our work, achievements, and impact. Male and female students celebrate their homeland through knowledge, excellence, and ambition; faculty members through knowledge, research, and innovation; and administrative staff through professional excellence, performance development, and service to beneficiaries.”

He added that genuine belonging to the nation is reflected in the scale of achievements and the quality of the impact we create, noting that every success achieved, every initiative launched, and every value added represents a sincere expression of loyalty to the homeland and a practical embodiment of national belonging and responsibility.

He further stated that Jouf University is proud to be an active contributor to the Kingdom’s national development journey and to support its progress through education, research, innovation, human-capital development, the empowerment of Saudi men and women, and the transformation of knowledge into sustainable developmental value and impact, in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

The ceremony also included an honoring segment, during which His Excellency the University President recognized the entities that participated in organizing and implementing the National Day celebrations, in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to the success of the occasion. The recognition included a number of the University’s colleges and deanships, reflecting institutional integration and the broad participation of various University sectors in celebrating this national occasion.

His Excellency also honored the winners of the Saudi National Day Competition, which featured a wide range of creative, community-oriented, cultural, and technical categories. These included community initiatives, artistic works, innovative projects, digital content, live performances, essays, classical and Nabati poetry, craft and technology-based works supported by artificial intelligence, infographics, photography and visual art, and short films. The competition reflected the diversity of talents among the University’s students and community members and their ability to express national belonging through creativity and innovation.

This recognition reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening community and national engagement, encouraging creativity and excellence, and reinforcing the concept of celebrating the homeland through work, initiative, and achievement. In doing so, National Day becomes a platform for showcasing talents and capabilities and creating meaningful impact that reflects the values of citizenship and belonging.

The ceremony concluded by reaffirming that serving the nation is an honor, safeguarding its achievements is a responsibility, and contributing to its future is a duty fulfilled through knowledge, hard work, and dedication. The event also renewed sentiments of loyalty and belonging to a nation that continues to advance steadily toward a more prosperous and ambitious future.
