Jouf University Celebrates a Major Academic Achievement

In the presence of Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, the University Vice Presidents, deans of colleges and deanships, faculty members, and University staff, Jouf University celebrated a major academic achievement reflecting the maturity of its quality assurance system and the deeply rooted culture of academic excellence across the institution. The University marked the achievement of 100% program accreditation for all targeted bachelor’s programs and honored the colleges, academic programs, faculty members, and teams that contributed to this milestone.

The celebration crowned an integrated institutional journey focused on enhancing the quality of academic programs, strengthening the efficiency of their outcomes, and embedding quality assurance and accreditation practices in accordance with national standards. The achievement reflects the maturity of the University’s educational system and its ability to translate quality objectives into measurable academic outcomes.

The ceremony opened with the Saudi national anthem and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a screening of the film “A Journey of Achievement,” which highlighted key milestones and efforts behind the University’s progress, including the continuous work to develop academic programs and fulfill quality and accreditation standards and requirements.

The Deanship of Development and Quality also delivered a presentation tracing the University’s journey toward program accreditation, highlighting the major stages of work and institutional efforts that contributed to achieving the 100% accreditation rate, as well as the integration of efforts among colleges, academic departments, programs, and specialized teams.

In his address during the ceremony, Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Alaa bin Saleh Al-Arjan stated that achieving 100% program accreditation for all targeted bachelor’s programs reflects the continuous development of the University’s academic programs and the strong integration among colleges, academic departments, programs, and the Deanship of Development and Quality in building an educational system founded on clear standards of quality and continuous improvement.

He explained that this achievement was the result of sustained and systematic efforts encompassing the development of academic plans and programs, assessment of learning outcomes, enhancement of teaching and evaluation quality, and fulfillment of program accreditation standards. He emphasized that the quality of academic programs goes beyond meeting accreditation requirements to include their impact on the student experience, graduate competence, and the alignment of learning outcomes with labor market needs.

In his address on the occasion, Jouf University President Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya affirmed that achieving 100% program accreditation for all targeted bachelor’s programs represents a significant milestone in the University’s journey and the outcome of an integrated institutional effort involving all components of the academic system. He noted that this progress has been guided by a clear vision that places quality and continuous improvement at the heart of the University’s work and makes excellence in academic outcomes a sustained priority.

Prof. Al-Shaya expressed his appreciation for the generous support extended to the University by the wise leadership — may Allah protect it — as well as the continued support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region — may Allah protect him — and the close follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Prof. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan. He emphasized the important role of this support in enabling universities to advance their academic systems and enhance the quality of their outcomes.

The University President also extended his thanks and appreciation to all colleges, academic programs, committees, and teams that contributed to achieving this milestone, stressing that the recognition reflects the University’s gratitude to those who made the achievement possible and honors a collective effort that produced results befitting Jouf University’s ambitions.

He further emphasized that the University will continue to build on this accomplishment, moving beyond achieving quality standards toward sustaining them and maximizing their impact, in ways that strengthen Jouf University’s academic standing and enhance its presence and competitiveness nationally and internationally.

The ceremony included the recognition of the colleges, academic programs, and contributors who played a role in achieving this milestone. The recognition covered 13 colleges and 29 academic programs across a wide range of disciplines.

The College of Business was honored for its bachelor’s programs in Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance and Investment; the College of Engineering for its programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering; the College of Applied Medical Sciences in Qurayyat for its programs in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Nursing, and Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation; and the College of Applied Medical Sciences for its programs in Clinical Laboratory Sciences and Physical Therapy and Health Rehabilitation.

The recognition also included the College of Arts for its programs in Arabic Language and English Language; the College of Medicine for the Medicine and Surgery program; the College of Dentistry for the Oral and Dental Medicine and Surgery program; the College of Nursing for the Nursing program; the College of Sharia and Law for its programs in Islamic Studies, Sharia, and Law; the College of Pharmacy for the Pharmacy program; and the College of Education for the Early Childhood Education program.

The College of Computer and Information Sciences was honored for its programs in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, and Computer Engineering and Networks, while the College of Science was recognized for its programs in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics.

The recognition also extended to the Deanship of Admission and Registration, represented by its Dean and Vice Deans; the Deanship of Student Affairs, represented by its Dean and Vice Deans; the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by its Dean and Vice Deans; and the Deanship of E-Learning and Digital Transformation, represented by its Dean and Vice Deans.

This achievement embodies Jouf University’s commitment to building a sustainable academic system founded on quality, continuous improvement, and impact measurement, while strengthening confidence in its academic programs and outcomes. It also contributes to enhancing the student learning experience, improving graduate readiness, and reinforcing the University’s presence and competitiveness nationally and internationally as part of its continuing journey of development, excellence, and impact.
