Jouf University Celebrates the 95th Saudi National Day with Pride, Honor, and Renewed Allegiance to the Nation
In an atmosphere filled with pride, loyalty, and belonging, Jouf University organized its celebration of the 95th Saudi National Day. The event was attended by the University President, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, vice presidents, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, faculty members, a large number of students, and administrative staff who gathered to participate in this cherished national occasion.


The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a national operetta depicting the journey of unification and nation-building led by the founder, King Abdulaziz – may Allah rest his soul – and carried forward by his righteous sons up to the present prosperous era.
The program continued with a patriotic poem eloquently expressing feelings of belonging and pride in the nation, along with aspirations that transcend boundaries toward a brighter future. This was followed by the Saudi ‘Ardah (traditional sword dance), which symbolized national unity and the Kingdom’s rich heritage, amid great interaction from the audience who shared their loyalty and pride.
In his speech on this occasion, the University President extended his highest congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – may Allah preserve them both. He also expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Jouf Region, and His Royal Highness Prince Meteb bin Mishaal bin Badr bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Al-Jouf.
Prof. Al-Shaya emphasized that the National Day is not just a commemoration, but the pulse of identity, a symbol of pride, and a renewal of allegiance and loyalty—a pledge to continue along the path of progress and development. He affirmed that Jouf University renews its commitment to being a beacon of knowledge, creativity, and innovation, contributing to the development of creative individuals, distinguished research, and inspiring innovation—serving religion, elevating the nation, and fulfilling the aspirations of its wise leadership.


He also pointed out that while celebrating this glorious day, Jouf University reaffirms its mission to nurture creative individuals, enhance quality research, and empower innovation and entrepreneurship. This aligns fully with Saudi Vision 2030, which serves as a roadmap for the nation’s future and a compass for the university in shaping its strategies and initiatives. He highlighted that the university takes pride in its qualitative achievements in academic, research, and community fields—successes that represent a natural extension of the nation’s progress and embody the university’s national responsibility in raising education quality, developing human capabilities, and enhancing the Kingdom’s global competitiveness.
Following the speech, the University President honored the organizers of the ceremony, as well as participants in the accompanying exhibition, which featured informative booths and creative student works reflecting the spirit of patriotism and showcasing the university’s initiatives and achievements in serving the nation and society. He also recognized the judges of the National Day competition “Innovative Homeland,” who played a key role in encouraging students to demonstrate their creativity and present distinctive national works that reflected their talents and renewed capabilities.


The university affirmed that its celebration of National Day reflects its firm commitment to its national and developmental role and extends its efforts to instill loyalty and belonging in students, strengthening national identity within the university community. The event also highlighted the university’s contributions to supporting Vision 2030 targets through the development of academic programs, promotion of distinguished scientific research, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and reinforcing national partnerships that help build a knowledge-based society and a thriving economy.
The ceremony concluded in an atmosphere of pride in the homeland and its leadership, reaffirming that Jouf University will remain a beacon of knowledge and innovation, a nurturing hub for national talents, and an active contributor to the Kingdom’s ongoing journey of development and prosperity under its wise leadership.
