Department Overview
The establishment of the Bachelor of Arts in Arabic Language coincided with the establishment of the College of Arts, formerly known as the College of Administrative and Human Sciences, pursuant to Royal Decree No. 10093/MB, dated 21/11/1428 AH. There were several objectives for establishing the program, the most prominent of which were: preserving the language of the Holy Quran and its heritage, preserving the identity of the Arab nation, meeting the growing need of society for qualified national competencies in the field of Arabic language to work in the various stages of general education, and expanding the scope of linguistic and literary awareness.
