Intellectual Awareness Department Organizes Dialogue Session Titled “University Awareness: Understanding Regulations and Acting Responsibly” to Promote Conscious Conduct and Foster Intellectual and Digital Responsibility

In line with the objectives of its strategic plan to enhance the university experience, develop informed and responsible students, and foster a safe and stimulating campus environment, Jouf University’s Intellectual Awareness Department organized a dialogue session for first-year students titled “University Awareness: Understanding Regulations and Acting Responsibly.” The session brought together a distinguished group of faculty members and students from across the University’s campuses.

The session was held as part of the University’s programs aimed at preparing first-year students for university life, raising their awareness of their rights and responsibilities, promoting the values of accountability and discipline, and enabling them to make informed decisions that reflect their national identity and university values. These efforts contribute to creating an integrated educational experience that extends beyond academic achievement to character development and responsible conduct.

The session addressed three key themes: conscious conduct within the university environment, intellectual awareness and digital responsibility, and awareness of university rules and regulations. The speakers discussed various situations and challenges that first-year students may encounter and explored how to address them with awareness and sound judgment. They also highlighted the importance of complying with regulations in safeguarding rights, enhancing the quality of university life, and creating an educational environment founded on respect and responsibility.

The male students’ session featured Dr. Mohammed bin Mutrib Al-Dandani, Dr. Hisham bin Khalaf Al-Lahim, and Dr. Waleed bin Ghazi Al-Noumas, and was moderated by Mr. Zaid bin Mazeed Al-Ruwaili.

The female students’ session featured Dr. Azza bint Khalaf Al-Lahim, Dr. Ohood bint Abdulrahman Al-Dughmi, and Dr. Malak bint Mikhlif Al-Qaydi, and was moderated by Dr. Fatimah bint Abdullah Al-Mulhim.

The session witnessed notable engagement from first-year students through discussions and questions concerning university rules and regulations, digital responsibility, conscious conduct, and ways of addressing situations associated with university life. This interaction enriched the dialogue and reinforced the student’s role as an active partner in shaping a more informed and responsible university experience.

The session was also broadcast live to the University’s Qurayyat and Tabarjal branches, enabling students there to follow its themes and participate in the dialogue. This reflected the University’s commitment to providing equal access to its awareness programs and strengthening integration across its campuses.

The session concluded with a question addressed to the speakers: “How can you become a student who is conscious in thought, conduct, and decision-making?” The question emphasized that university awareness extends beyond understanding regulations to becoming a daily practice reflected in students’ conduct, decisions, and responsibilities both on and off campus.

The session reflects Jouf University’s commitment to making awareness an integral part of its educational and developmental system. It also supports the objectives of the University’s strategic plan to enhance the student experience, strengthen belonging and citizenship, promote digital responsibility, and develop a generation equipped with the knowledge, values, and decision-making skills needed to serve the nation and society effectively
