Towards Better Quality of Life: Home Visits for Elderly Women
Under the guidance of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Falih Al-Sarhani, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, the College of Applied Medical Sciences, in cooperation with the Al-Wafaa Association for the Care of the Elderly, organized field visits to the homes of a number of elderly women in need of care, as part of the College’s efforts to enhance its role in community service and in celebration of the International Day of Older Persons. The visits included comprehensive assessments for the elderly women, in addition to providing therapeutic advice and preventive guidelines that contribute to improving their quality of life. Awareness brochures and symbolic gifts were also distributed during the visits in appreciation of the status of older persons and their role in society, in an initiative that reflects the College’s commitment to the principles of social responsibility and to promoting health awareness among different segments of the community.
