His Excellency Professor Dr. Youssef bin Abduh Asiri, President of Taif University, affirmed that the twenty-eighth meeting of the Committee of Presidents and Directors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries represented an important opportunity to discuss a number of vital topics in the higher education sector, most notably: aligning university education with labor market requirements, enhancing cybersecurity, and the role of artificial intelligence and its integration into university curricula. His Excellency explained that the meeting addressed a set of recommendations that would have a positive impact on the development of educational systems in the GCC countries, enhance shared expertise, and expand areas of cooperation between Gulf universities. He concluded his remarks by expressing his appreciation to the wise leadership for its continuous support of the education sector, extending his thanks to Jouf University for its excellent organization and generous hospitality, and to all committees and working teams who contributed to the success of the meeting.
