Under the patronage of His Excellency, the President of the University, Prof. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, and the attendance of the university' vice rectors, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, faculty members, administrative staff, and female students; The College of Business organized an event titled "Women's Contributions at Jouf University in Light of Empowerment: Inspiring Stories."
The event began with the national anthem, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran. A visual presentation was also presented on this occasion, highlighting the support of the Wise Leadership—may Allah protect them—and the role of Jouf University in supporting and empowering women. It also implemented speeches by some of the distinguished female leaders and researchers, as well as students who have won awards and medals.
In his speech, His Excellency, the University President, on his own behalf and on behalf of the university' female staff, extended his thanks to the Wise Leadership—may Allah protect them—for the major witnessed transformations in the field of women's empowerment, asserting that supporting and empowering women is the optimal investment in the future of our coming generations.
As Jouf University believes that education is the ultimate path to achieving the goals of this investment, it works to provide an educational environment that enables women to achieve their ambitions and hopes. A salute of appreciation goes to every woman who works hard and dedicatedly to achieve success in her various fields.
Jouf University has been keen to include ambitious goals in its strategic plan, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, to empower women and highlight their active role in development. The university aims to create a supportive environment for women by providing specialized training programs and opening the door for them to assume leadership positions in various academic and administrative departments.
At the event, a panel discussion hold in which a group of female faculty members, administrators, and students spoke about their personal experiences of success and empowerment in various fields. They were creative in presenting inspiring stories about the role of women in serving the community and leading development projects.
At the conclusion of the event, His Excellency, the President of the University honored some of the university' distinguished female academic and administrative staff, as well as the students who received awards and medals.
The event coincided with the celebration of International Women's Day, a great opportunity to recognize the significant role women play in achieving progress and prosperity, and to highlight the university' ongoing initiatives to support women in all sectors, with the aim of achieving further success in empowering women and enhancing their future leadership role.
