Gestational Diabetes Awareness Campaign
The College of Medicine at Jouf University, represented by the Community Service Unit and in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, organized a Gestational Diabetes Awareness Campaign on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Al-Jouf Plaza in Sakaka.
The campaign aimed to raise health awareness among women about the risks of gestational diabetes, methods of prevention, and the importance of regular follow-up during pregnancy. It featured educational booths, informative lectures delivered by specialists in obstetrics and gynecology, nutrition, and nursing, as well as free preliminary screenings and medical consultations for visitors.
The event witnessed great engagement from attendees, who showed strong interest in the educational content and services provided, contributing to the campaign’s success in promoting maternal and fetal health, and encouraging a culture of prevention and reproductive health awareness.
This initiative comes as part of a series of community and awareness activities organized by the College of Medicine to serve the community, promote health education, and strengthen collaboration with related health authorities.
