The Examinations Unit

Establishment of the Unit:

The Examinations Unit at the College of Education, Jouf University, was established in response to the college’s need for a specialized body responsible for supervising and organizing all examination-related operations. Its purpose is to ensure the proper conduct of examinations and the application of relevant university regulations and guidelines. The Unit was incorporated into the college’s organizational structure under the supervision of the Vice Deanship for Educational Affairs, contributing to the promotion of fairness, transparency, and the enhancement of the overall efficiency of the educational process.

 

Unit Vision:

To achieve leadership and excellence in managing and organizing examinations in accordance with the highest quality standards, thereby enhancing the standing of the College and the University in producing distinguished educational outcomes.

 

Unit Mission:

To provide comprehensive and effective services in organizing and supervising examinations, ensuring transparency, fairness, and accuracy. The Unit aims to contribute to a secure and equitable educational environment for students and to provide strong support for faculty members.

 

General Objective of the Unit:

To achieve high quality and efficiency in managing and organizing examinations within the College in accordance with university regulations and policies, ensuring fair assessment, credible results, and the satisfaction of all beneficiaries.

 

Unit Tasks:

· Develop a comprehensive plan for the administration of examinations within the College and oversee its implementation.

· Prepare examination halls and ensure that all necessary requirements are available.

· Organize proctoring duties and supervise examination committees.

· Handle emergency or exceptional situations that may arise during examinations.

· Receive, sort, and securely store answer sheets until they are delivered to the academic departments.

· Document all examination-related procedures and archive them both electronically and in hard copy.

· Submit recommendations and suggestions to improve the College’s examination management system.

 

Operational Objectives of the Unit:

· Prepare accurate examination schedules in coordination with academic departments.

· Efficiently and transparently implement university regulations and policies related to examinations.

· Supervise examination halls and provide an appropriate environment for students.

· Monitor the distribution of proctors and clarify their responsibilities to ensure orderly exam administration.

· Receive exam questions and answer sheets and maintain complete confidentiality.

· Prepare periodic reports on examination processes and submit them to the College leadership.

· Address examination-related feedback and complaints in accordance with official procedures.

· Work on developing examination management mechanisms in line with quality standards and academic accreditation requirements.
