The Deanship of Student Affairs held a session titled “Smart Solutions to Support Sustainable Transport and Achieve Energy Efficiency and Quality of Life” on Tuesday, April 7, 2026
, from 9:00 to 10:00 PM, conducted remotely. The session was delivered by His Excellency the Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hammad bin Hamad Al-Numan.
The session addressed the concept of smart solutions in the transport sector, which involve the use of modern technologies and advanced systems to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption. It also reviewed key solutions such as intelligent traffic management systems, energy recovery technologies, and data analysis to enhance scheduling efficiency and minimize waste.
The session emphasized the role of these practices in supporting sustainable transport by reducing emissions, improving resource efficiency, and providing more reliable and seamless transportation services. This, in turn, contributes to enhancing quality of life by reducing congestion, improving the environment, and increasing the efficiency of mobility within cities
