"The Healthy School Bag" is an educational and practical initiative aimed at promoting health prevention and reinforcing proper postural behavior
As part of its community mission and commitment to promoting preventive health awareness, the College of Applied Medical Sciences at Jouf University carried out a specialized field event titled “Early Campaign for the Detection of Postural Deformities (The Healthy School Bag)” on April 29 and 30, 2026, targeting primary school students in a number of schools in Sakaka.
Early detection of postural deformities and promotion of healthy behaviors
It aimed to enable the early detection of postural deformities and related problems, while also raising awareness among students, teachers, and parents about the importance of proper posture and ways to prevent incorrect daily habits that may affect spinal health in the long term.
The accompanying educational and practical activities of the event
The program included a series of educational and practical activities, including an awareness lecture, interactive booths, and direct on-site assessments, in addition to training students in a number of simple exercises and practical guidelines on proper sitting, standing, and carrying the school bag correctly, thereby helping to build conscious healthy behavior from the early school years.
Satisfaction and benefit indicators of the event
The event also reflected a tangible positive impact on the target group, with 131 beneficiaries participating. It further showed high levels of satisfaction and benefit, as the indicators revealed strong engagement with the campaign’s content and objectives, underscoring the importance of sustaining such high-quality initiatives within the school environment.
